A Poem To The Men Of USS Walker
Though to the ocean this ship was small
We walked her decks and called her home
Her mast above us stood real tall
In war-filled waters we did roam.
The men upon her proud and brave
Defending peace and liberty
Our freedom many died to save
Fighting to keep our nation free.
Now to this new world they have gone
Their compasses guiding them straight and true
To the One who made us all
In our memories they do live on.
